A one-night-only performance of The Grief Opera, in London.
The opera moves from a father’s last conversations with his musician son through the shock of his death to the challenge of great grief and love. Combining elements of opera, musicals and concerts, and weaving classical styles and jazz, the Grief Opera takes us on a journey that will resonate with all who know great loss.
Nigel Linacre wrote the lyrics after he lost his son George Linacre to suicide. Jazz band leader and pianist Vladimir Miller created the music having lost a band member to suicide earlier in his life.
